Our story
Born from stillness.
Made with intention.
The Quiet Flames began not as a business plan, but as a ritual — a single candle lit at the end of a long day, filling a small apartment with warmth and the faint scent of cedarwood.

Where it began
A kitchen table,
a quiet evening
It started in 2021, when our founder Juan Rivera began making candles in his kitchen — not to sell, but to decompress. He'd discovered that the ritual of melting wax, blending oils, and watching a flame catch was itself a form of meditation.
Friends noticed. Then strangers. Then orders started coming in through word of mouth alone. Within a year, The Quiet Flames had outgrown the kitchen and moved into a small studio in the arts district — but the process has never changed.
Every candle is still poured by hand, in small batches, with the same unhurried attention that started it all.
What we believe
Three things we never compromise on
These aren't marketing promises. They're the decisions we make every time we pour a candle.
The philosophy
"A candle doesn't ask anything of you. It simply burns slowly, warmly, completely. That's what we make. And that's how we make it."
We believe that scent is one of the most powerful ways to mark a moment — to say this hour is different, this evening is intentional. The Quiet Flames exists to help people create those pauses. Nothing more, nothing less.
